GASOLINE SHORTAGE CARD. What is the current situation at gas stations? Thanks to our new search engine, we offer you to find in one click the complete list of stations recently supplied in your department or your city…

[Mis à jour le 19 octobre 2022 à 16h17] Is the gasoline shortage over? This Wednesday represents a crucial day for the strike movement initiated in the refineries and fuel depots of the TotalEnergies group. The CGT announced during the day that it had communicated “a protocol for the end of the conflict” to the management of the oil group. At noon, the strike is renewed at the Gonfreville-L’Orcher refinery site in Normandy. On the other hand, the end of the movement was voted at the site of Donges in Loire-Atlantique.

At the same time, the number of fuel shortage stations has improved. The Minister for the Ecological Transition, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, announced at midday that 21.9% of gas stations were considered “in difficulties”, compared to 22.8% of establishments in a situation of fuel shortage the day before and the 28.1% from Monday. . However, a return to normality is not imminent and there are great disparities depending on the region, with 37% of service stations in Burgundy-Franche-Comté in difficulty, 33% of those in Ile-de-France, 22 .6% of Grand Est and Centre-Val-de-Loire stations.

We have enabled a search engine to find the list of stations supplied with fuel in a department and/or a city. Only locations where fuel is available are displayed. Stations are sorted by update date and time (“MAJ”), to maximize your chances of finding fuel:

This search engine is based on the “instant flow” of fuel prices in France, provided by the Ministry of the Economy and available on the official website: https://www.fuel-prices.gouv.fr/. It corresponds to the point of sale in question to declare its available fuels and their prices, as well as the dates and times of updating the ministry.

New: change the card issued by the Ministry of Economy. To facilitate your search, first enter your region, your department or directly your municipality to display the stations near you.

This search engine and this map are based on the “instantaneous flow” of fuel prices in France, provided by the Ministry of the Economy and available on the official website: https://www.fuel-prices.gouv.fr/. This operation generates some limits, the first being the absence of recent updates on many stations. Some prices or availability have not been entered for several days. Here’s the manual anyway:

  • By zooming in and then clicking on a point on the map, you can view all the information about the station and scroll through the prices of each fuel with arrows.
  • Spent fuels are either explicitly mentioned on the map or not found at stations
  • It is up to the point of sale in question to declare its station and its prices to the Ministry. Some groups, like Total, also provide data that is sometimes more detailed.

Above you will find a published list based on feedback from users of the app and the Mon Essence.fr website. Ile-de-France saw its stocks rapidly emptied after the start of the strike movements in Normandy, in the fuel depots that massively supply the Parisian agglomeration.

A map published based on feedback from users of the Mon Essence.fr app and site and centered on Marseille is available above. The Marseille agglomeration was one of the first affected by the gasoline shortage in early October and the situation remains difficult with still limited supply to petrol stations. The end of the movement at the Fos-sur-Mer site should allow the situation to be resolved in the coming days.

A map published based on feedback from users of the Mon Essence.fr app and website and centered on Lyon is available above. The Lyon agglomeration is not one of the most affected regions, but several stations are still reported to be in a situation of shortage of one or more fuels.
